What is a mission?
A mission is a shop-along or a cook-along. Wear your glasses, shop or cook like you normally would, and we’ll occasionally chime in with bite-sized questions. Missions must be at least 10 minutes long to qualify. We expect to introduce additional types of missions over time.
Do I have to talk during a mission?
Some missions are conversational. On those, Corvus will ask you questions through your glasses as you go, and you’ll need to answer out loud.
How much will I earn?
Pay varies by mission type and length, from $20 up to $40 per mission. Most missions pay $20.
Who can apply?
Anyone 18 or older in the United States who owns Meta glasses, such as Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta or Meta Ray-Ban Display, paired with an iPhone.
Do I need an iPhone?
Yes. Missions currently require your Meta glasses to be paired with an iPhone running iOS. Android phones aren’t supported yet.
What happens after I apply?
We’ll be in touch by email with your first mission.
What will be recorded?
During a mission, the glasses will record first-person video, but not ambient audio. Faces of other people appearing in the video will be blurred. If Corvus talks with you during the mission, the audio from that conversation will be recorded.
Who will see my recordings?
Your mission data will be used by Corvus and, depending on the study, may be shared with the company sponsoring the research. We’ll let you know how your data will be used as part of each mission.
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. We’ll walk you through setup, and missions are designed around things you already do, like shopping and cooking.
